We have yet another beautiful bridal session at Thistle Hill in Ft Worth, TX.  We have been out to this venue quite a few times this year yet every single time we walk away with more new and unique shots.  Big thank you to Brian for all his help in organizing these photo shoots!  Carol recently did her bridals there and she was stunning!  Carol is one of those girl’s who beauty is not limited to the outside but she is gorgeous on the inside too!  We had so much fun getting to know her and her family better through this wedding processes.

We would also love to give a HUGE shout out to Shannon with Something You!  Not only did this girl, while being nearly 8 months pregnant, do Carol’s hair and makeup, she then came to the bridals and helped straighten her gown, pose and just all around make everyone laugh with her bubbly personality.  Shannon has time and time again wowed us with her ability to create beautiful up do’s and makeup for our brides.  We highly recommend Something You for all your hair and make up needs!  When Carol was asked how Shannon did, here is what she replied with:

“Shannon. Was. Amazing. She was one of my favorite vendors. She was easy, helpful, funny, went above the call of duty and made my morning of the wedding relaxing and fun. Additionally, during the bridal portraits, she came with us to the venue and stayed over an hour and a half as the “assistant” helping with getting poses set, arranging my dress, etc. All while she was over seven months pregnant. I would recommend her as a vendor – she may just turn out to be a friend as well!”

Today is Samantha’s very first Mother’s Day!  She has been so good to me and to little baby Emma.  She is the inspiration behind me, she is the glue that holds the business together, she is the reason we work so hard.  I can’t even start to list everything she does for Me, Emma, and our business.  She is a so wonderful.  Thank you for everything you do, we love you!

We had SO much fun with Phil and Suzi on their engagement photos in Houston running around the Heights. They wanted a slightly country, rustic feel to their photos without losing the city feel completely and I think that is exactly what we accomplished.  We kicked things off at their adorable town home in the Heights with the dog Barkley who actually helped Phil propose to Suzi.

Then we waited around a bit for the sun to go down and then we played in the dark for a few shots.

This is yet another beautiful Christ the King ceremony followed by a reception at the Four Seasons Las Colinas.  We love both of these venues!  Christ the King is such a gorgeous church, the chapel is beautiful and the ladies who work there are so nice (which sadly is a rarity).  We always walk away with more gorgeous shots from that church than just about any other we shoot in.  Then to follow up with a reception at the Four Seasons is always a bonus.  Both the inside and the outside of this venue is beautiful and it gives us so many places to take unique and fun photos.  Mary, who currently lives in Chicago, planned her entire wedding from out of state and she did a great job!  She incorporated things that she loves like her passion for reading and books on the table centerpieces.  Kick back and relax and enjoy Mary & Matthew’s country club wedding.

Ceremony: Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, TX / Reception: Four Season Country Club in Las Colinas, TX

I do not even know where to begin, these bridals have stolen my heart!  First, the venue Chateau Cocomar…it is absolutely stunning!  Second, the bride…she is absolutely stunning!  Place these two together and you have a bridal portrait session that is out of this world!  The bride’s gown is an Ines di Santo from Belle Mariée Bridal and her shoes are Jimmy Choo from Neiman Marcus.  The bride has two veils, the shorter one is by Sarah Gabriel and the longer one is by Erin Cole both from Belle Mariée Bridal in Houston.  The styling and design of this photo shoot is by Jacqueline with Jacqueline Chapelle French Inspired Events.

Man did we kick 2012 off with a bang!  Our first wedding of 2012 was Zach & Kelsi Wolf’s wedding at Perkins Chapel and City Place’s Club Room.  It was a beautiful wedding and everyone there clearly was having so much fun!  For those of you who don’t remember how we know Kelsi, click here to check out their engagements and our story. So this wedding in particular is very near and dear to my heart as the groom is a dear friend of mine.  Wes Robbins married the girl of his dreams on February 11, 2012 and my heart could not be more happy for him!  Wes played an intricate role in who I am today.  He endured all the moody, messy and crazy teenage years of my friends and I as our youth minister and friend back in my hometown of Rockport, TX.  I am so incredible grateful that Wes found Jessica!  Jessica, also from Rockport was completely swept off her feet by her prince charming.  Take just once glance at these photos and you will instantly see Love written all over these two!  A couple truly in love is the easiest couple in the world to photograph and you will see this here.

 Congratulations Wessica!  We love y’all and are so excited for you both!!!

So March 24th was a doubly sweet day for us!  It was Jonathan & I’s 5 year wedding anniversary and it was also the day Cassie and Steven tied the knot!  How cool is that!  So while we were reflecting on how we have not killed each other after 7 years of being together, 5 years of marriage and 3 years of working together we were also celebrating the awesome adventure that C&S were about to take off on.  Their ceremony was just down the road from our Hudio at Landmark Ministries and their reception was just up the road from there at Buffalo Valley Event Center.  Seriously, this wedding was about celebrating people, not details, not events but people and relationships.  I think we walked away with more couple’s photos at this wedding than ever before!  This being said, here are just a few of my favorites from both Jonathan & Ryan’s perspectives.

We loved shooting these gorgeous bridals at the Dallas Opera House with Shannon, her maid of honor and our past assistant here at JIP, Kristen and both of their moms as well as her wedding planner’s assistant Julian from Bella Flora of Dallas.  We had quite the crew but they had a lot of fun!  Kristen and Jonathan both captured so many beautiful images that day of Shannon in her gorgeous Romona Keveža gown from Stanley Korshak.  Yesterday Shannon Horswell became Mrs Steven Sadek and we are very excited to finally be able to share these!  Here are just a few of our favorites:
