Peggy Fechner McDavid’s Bridal Shoot

Over this past Memorial Day weekend we drove down to Rockport, TX to do a bridal shoot with one of our brides to be. We met Peggy at her future in law’s home where we did a few photos before heading around town visiting some of the local land marks for this shoot. I loved how Peggy wanted to include the real essence of Rockport through her photos, it made them very person yet fun. The shoot went beautifully and Peggy was an amazing model. Seeing that we are still a month away from her big day….you will just have to wait a bit until you can see this beautiful blushing bride. Once again, Congratulations Peggy!

Dia & Cersten- BFF

This past Sunday we had a photoshoot with 2 girls who have been friends for years. Dia & Cersten brought a party straight to Jonathan Ivy Photo. These girls were having so much fun and you can see it in their pictures! We started off at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens for some beautiful outdoor shots and then moved the party to Grapevine Main Street Days where photos were taken on Storm (a ride than spins in circles while your chair spins in circles) where Jon had his first DRAMATIC experience. Jon jumped on Storm along with Dia & Cersten to take some actions shots, not even 30 seconds into the ride, his lens comes off the body. He catches it and spends the next several minutes trying to reattach it while being thrown in circles. Photos to come of his dramatic expressions while saving the life of his lens. After everyone regained composure we then headed downtown to grab some shots and ended things in Southlake as the sun went down. Thanks girls for one of the most energetic and unique shoots we have had yet!

These silly girls got on a roller coaster with Jon. I got sick just watching!

Vanessa Varela’s Senior Photo Shoot

Shout out to Cassie Partridge for referring her friend Vanessa to have her Senior Portraits done with JIP. Your awesome! Vanessa and us headed out to the Southlake Town Square for our first photo shoot out there and it turned out perfect! It was such a beautiful day with a light breeze and a bright sun and we had a gorgeous model. From the moment we started Vanessa was in her prime. You would have thought she had been doing this for ages, the camera loved her. We grabbed several hundred great shots there before we headed out the Grapevine Train Station to play on the train tracks for a bit. Vanessa made our job very easy as many of our clients do. Thanks Vanessa for coming to hang out with us. You did a Fabulous job!

Harris Family

This past Sunday we had our 7th family photo shoot which took place at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens with the Harris Family: Curtis, Susan, Turner Brianna, Brecken and Brighton. This family was so much fun and the kids were wonderful the entire time. From the minute we met them the kids were full of energy and expression. As you can see in their slideshow, they made our job very easy as everyone in this family is very photogenic and full of love for each other. We started our day at the Gardens, then headed downtown to Main street to see the train and ended our day on the lake by their house. We had a great time getting to know this wonderful family! Thanks Harris Family!

The Timmons Family

So we had the pleasure of doing a family shoot this past weekend with some friends of ours, the Timmons. Kevin (who works at the Dallas Cowboys with Jon), Michelle (Samantha’s partner in crime) and beautiful Abby graced our day as we took pictures in Legacy. Little Abby was full of life and entertainment as she ran up to greet all the puppies we passed. She did an excellent job of posing and playing for us throughout the evening. We had alot of fun doing this photo shoot with them. Thank you Timmons Family!
