Wow. Where do I even begin? I am the happiest bride ever! From our amazing engagement photo session, to helping us with our save the date magnets and our memory book, to my stunning bridal portraits, our photo booth surprise (best looking booth I have ever seen at a wedding btw), and all of our amazing wedding day photos…I have so many wonderful memories, it’s hard for me to pick a favorite. Not only is the quality of their work fantastic but they are so flexible! They work with you on your schedule, make sure they ask if you want any more angles or ideas, and they are even there to help zip you up into your dress! This couple really gets what wedding photography is all about and goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and happy! We are pleased to share with you our 10-10-10 wedding and it couldn’t have been with a more special couple.  First of all, Alec the groom is an old friend friend of Samantha’s from elementary school and he married the girl of his dreams on October 10th at the Ft Worth Botanical’s Japanese Gardens.  Handsome groom, beautiful bride and gorgeous venue…we couldn’t of asked for more!  Here are just a few photos form their beautiful outdoor wedding.

We LOVE first glances and this couple had an absolutely gorgeous first look in the gardens.  They not only got to spend the day together, which they loved, but they also had time to take these photos and so many more.

We would like to introduce to you Mr & Mrs Zack Frewin!

Oh goodness where to start…Christina is a long time friend of Jonathan’s.  They first met back in high school and have stayed in touch off and on throughout the years.  We were so excited when Tina asked us to photographer her wedding and had such a blast spending time with her and Zack as they prepared for their big day.  During this time Jonathan & I decided we wanted to create a photo booth.  We began to put the wheels in motion and mentioned to Tina that it might be ready for her wedding.  Little did we know she was going to fall in love with the idea.  As time went by we found that Tina was getting more excited about the booth as we were learning how big of a project creating a photo booth was. We owe 75% of our motivation to her.  After all of Tina’s encouragement and excitement and a few sleepless night we launched our photo booth at her wedding and it was amazing!  Everyone there loved it and we had a blast sharing it.  Thank you Tina for opening your wedding to us and for all the encouragement to get that booth done.  Christina & Zach’s wedding was an absolute ball!  Christina looked absolutely stunning and Zack had married the girl of his dreams.  We are so excited to share with you this amazing Houston Oaks wedding.

Christina’s gown is from Priscilla’s of Boston located in Houston, Tx.  It looks so elegant on her!

The doors shown below are from Jacqueline Chapelle~ French Inspired Events.  She carries unique wedding rentals from doors, to couches, to archways to fabulous tents.  We absolutely loved these doors and they made for a grand entrance for the bride to her groom and guests.

Here is the official Jonathan Ivy Photography Photo Booth!  We are so excited to be able to finally release this to you all.  Everyone had a blast in it at Tina and Zack’s wedding.  Here are just a couple of shots from the booth.  As you can see it comfortably holds groups or couples and our booth comes with a custom label on each photo and a custom album for the couple.

We are so excited to share with you all April and Shelby’s Texas State Fair Engagement photo shoot!  There isn’t much that is better than going to the Texas State Fair and doing what you love!  We had fun not only taking photos with April and Shelby but walking around and checking out the State Fair with them.  Between the four of us we had a corndog, friend onion strings, friend frozen margarita and cotton candy which was super yum!  We even got to play some games!  Here are just a few of the super cute photos from their rockin’ engagement session.

This was April’s first time to the Texas State Fair and she was so cute looking around at everything!

So as with most bridals we are very excited to share these with you but these bridals are especially near and dear to our hearts because they belong to a dear friends now wife!  Stef is now the beautiful wife to a long time friend of Samantha’s, Alec Thompson.  Samantha and Alec grew up together in Rockport and even went to the 8th grade prom together so it was extra special to be a part of this gorgeous wedding and bridal session.  Stefanie’s beautiful grecian styled gown and head piece were so elegant.  Her wedding took place in the Japanese Gardens in the Ft Worth Botanical Gardens so naturally this is where we headed for her bridal session.  The leaves are just beginning to change and the beautiful cool weather was just an added blessing to this wonderful portrait session.  We are so pleased to share with you Mrs Stefanie Thompson’s bridals.

This was our first time to photograph a wedding at Ashelynn Manor in North Houston and I hope it is not our last.  This beautiful venue was wonderful to shoot at and we were so blessed to be able to photograph Holly & Dustin’s wedding.  Holly is Katie Holz‘s cousin and Katie and her husband Russell was our very first wedding to ever shoot.  I love when we get to work with new brides as well as visit our old brides.  Its always so good to see everyone.  Holly was an absolutely beautiful bride and her handsome groom Dustin had a wonderful night.  We are so pleased to share with you all the new Mr & Mrs Graper.

Here you can see the skies have gone gray, but that doesn’t stop us.  We continue to have fun taking photos!

By now it is pouring.  We sneak out to grab this shot and then run to the reception!

The rain eventually subsided and we were able to run back out and grab a couple more shots in the hazy night.  Not only did they get some fun shots they had luck on their side!
