Happy Holidays Yall!  Hope that November treated you well cause December is almost here.  We had a wonderful November here at Jonathan Ivy.  We met several great families and a few great pets but I have to say I think that Moose was favorite.  He is a fun, loving labrador who is not only as big as a moose but also in love with his pet moose.  He loves his parents and having fun as you will see in the following photos.  We give you Kirk, Jeniffer and Moose Schumacher.

Welcome back from Thanksgiving, hope that you had a wonderful time with family and friends and enjoyed lots of wonderful food! We couldn’t think of a happier post to follow up such a wonderful time of giving thanks with family than to introduce to you the Gutierrez Family.  We had a great time hanging out with them at the Dallas Arboretum this past week.  All bundled up and having fun we ran around snapping photos of till the sun was gone.  A special thanks goes out to the Dallas Arboretum for taking care of us during our time there.  Happy Holidays Everyone and we give to you, the Gutierrez crew.

A beautiful wedding for a beautiful holiday!  We are so pleased to be able to share with you this rustic wedding from North Houston.  I am so thankful that Katherine asked us to be their photographers for this beautiful day in their lives.  We kicked things off at Katherine’s mom’s house which is nestled away in the woods where the girls got ready while we had some fun with photos.  These are just a few of the fun shots we were able to gather while we were there.  We then headed out to South Main Baptist Church for their ceremony then off to HESS Club of Houston for their reception.  Please kick back and relax while enjoying this beautiful wedding.

There are 2 things I love in life…1) a beautiful couple and 2) the beach and this photo shoot encompasses both of these two beautiful things.  Leigh Anne and Jordan drove up from San Antonio to be reunited with Leigh Anne’s home town of Galveston.  We were headed to The Strand when we encountered one of the nation’s largest biker rallies.  After a bit of regrouping and alot of laughter we headed out to the Seawall to find our golden location without motorcycles and we found our spot.  Here are just a few of our their fabulous engagement photos.

We would like to introduce to you Mr & Mrs Mitchell Herr!

We are so pleased to share with you the beautiful Rockport wedding of Chelsea and Mitch.  Chelsea grew up in Rockport with Samantha and is also an art and photography enthusiast so we were so honored when she asked us to be her photographers.  We had alot of fun not only photography such a beautiful wedding but getting to see and catch up with old friends and past Jonathan Ivy Photo couples.  Here are just a few photos of their fabulous Coastal Bend wedding.  Aren’t these robes just too cute!

From the bride: I am doing all of my something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue on my bouquet. The rosary is my something new, the hankerchief is my something old from my paternal grandmother (Joyce Smolik, call her Joyce), the blue brooch is my something blue from my maternal grandmother (Hilda Galjour, call her Nanny) and my something borrowed is a crystal pin from my mother.

This beautiful venue is the Aransas Pass Civic Center and they are always very accomodating.

No waiting, no anticipation…We have our first pre wedding bridal release and we are so excited to be able to share it with you!  April is one of those brides who is ready to step outside the box and make things uniquely her and that is just what she did with her bridal portraits.  April is a Rachel Events bride so with a little help from Rachel we kicked off her beautiful bridals at an old cemetary in Grapevine and ended then at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens.  Here are just a few of her beautiful garden photos.

Thank you Shelby for lending us your awesome hat without knowing it for April’s shoot.  We love when brides bring items that belong to their significant other to use in their photo shoot!

We are so excited to share with you Jonathan’s Sister’s Bridals!  Jonathan, myself & Jon’s parents all headed out to the Gulley’s Prvate Estate to snag some beautiful outdoor photos of Susie and to have a little fun.  Susie is a fabulous model and we had a blast taking photos of this beautiful bride!  But one of the best parts about this bridal is that we got to take Susie to a 2nd location, we headed to downtown Houston to Hotel Icon.  Gorgeous hotel!  We love shooting there and had a blast taking Susie’s bridals part 2 there.  Here are just a few of her many fabulous photos!

The beautiful bouquet show in the photos below is custom made from silk flowers by Foster’s Point.  They also team with an event rental and decor company in Houston called Jaqueline Chapelle~ French Inspired Events to create permanent florals for weddings.  They are a must see!  Absolutely Gorgeous pieces!

After enjoying a Saturday of fun outdoors we headed inside Hotel Icon on Sunday for a whole new look. Not only is this a beautiful hotel, Susie’s gown brought out the true elegance in each setting.
