It is not very often that we get to do Mr & Mrs Photo Sessions but I must admit they are so much fun.  There is no pressure, the couple is already happily married and having fun and they are willing to try all sorts of unique things so we just go and play.  We had just such a shoot the other day with Mr & Mrs Almond.  We photographed Coby & Valarie’s wedding back in June of 2010 so it was great to see them again on a very cold but pretty January day in the arts district of Dallas.  We kicked things off in their wedding clothes then changed into an everyday outfit to go hang out on the trolley. So Jonathan and I were so excited when Elizabeth with After Yes wedding planning invited us to be a part of After Hours with After Yes which is a gathering for couples and vendors to mix and mingle in a unique setting.  This month the party was held at Sambuca in Uptown and it featured so many fabulous vendors.  Here are just a couple of photos from his fabulous event.  We hope to see you at the next After Hours.  Follow After Yes on facebook for more details.

I, Samantha, am so very excited to share this adorable engagement photo shoot with you for two reasons: 1) Madison is my cousin and the last of us 4 girls (my sister, myself and my cousin Meghan who is her sister) to get married and 2) This is for sure the CUTEST engagement session we have done!  Madison & Jesse are both laid back, carefree personalities with a vintage flair to not only their wardrobes but life in general.  This is just 1 of many reasons why they are so perfect for each other!  They told us they were going to rent a tandem bike, I was so excited when they brought the bike to their photo shoot (they hard time finding a place that has tandem bike rentals in San Antonio! They used Abel’s Bike Shop) then out pops a red balloon Jesse picked up for the photo shoot, isn’t he cute?! Jonathan & I drove to San Antonio for this session on perhaps one of the first beautiful days of 2011.  Don’t you just love when everything just falls into place?  We do!  Here are just a few of their adorable vintage tandem bike engagement photos.

Below Jesse and Madison are inside a tiny rock structure in Brakenridge Park in San Antonio, TX.  While taking picture in here Jesse told us he performed a play inside here back in elementary school.  We asked if he would perform for us and he said no, maybe another time!

Jesse had played soccer just about his entire life so they brought along a soccer ball to have a little fun with!

Didn’t Madison pick out the best outfits!  So cute and so them.  I adore how cute they both look in these photos!

Welcome to the family Jesse!  We hope you are ready for all the insanity that is the Williams/Bowden family!  We love yall!

So Jonathan and I shot our first concert style event a couple weekends ago with Women of Faith‘s teen tour called The Revolve tour: Dream On.  It was great to step outside our norm and have some fun taking photos of girls and their moms just having a blast together in a more relaxed atmosphere.  It was also amazing to see their girls pouring their hearts out in praise and worship to Christ.  You can see the emotions of the day evolve as everyone enjoyed the awesome bands such as Hawk Nelson to the more somber, intimate moments from speakers such as Jenna Lucado Bishop.  There really are so many awesome photos to share but here are just a few of the ones we love!

We are so excited to share that we are Published again!  Its always so fun writing those words.  The beautiful wedding of Henry & Katherine VanDyck has a 2 page spread in the February 2011 issue of The One Bride Guide.  Katie can also be seen reading the magazine while getting her hair done at the front of the magazine and Jonathan Ivy Photography can be seen in a later ad by Butler Signature Events towards the end of the magazine.  It was such a pleasure working with all the fabulous vendors to make this feature happen, in particular Amy Canterbury with Butler Signature Events.  We are so excited to share a bit of this beautiful spread with you (the cover is not by us).

We had so much fun hanging with the Fabulous CRAVE Launch Party crew this past Monday!  There were soooo many wonderful women entrepreneurs present and we met so many successful hard working women there.  This book is composed of some of the most brilliant women business owners in Dallas.  It was such an honor to hang out with them and to share our tent photo booth with them.  Here are a couple of photos of the booth, the women waiting to take photos in the booth and the fabulous shots they took in the booth!

Tracy contacted us just a couple weeks before his December wedding.  He and Tina were getting married on a Monday afternoon at one of the chapels in Ft Worth we love, the Marty Leonard Chapel.  After a conversation or two we had them set for Monday.  Tracy and Tina’s wedding was the 3rd wedding for that weekend.  We had a Saturday wedding in Houston, a Sunday wedding in Trophy Club and then their Monday wedding in Ft Worth so by the time we arrived at the Marty Leonard we were on a wedding streak!  We had a little extra time so we were able to kick back and get to know our couple a bit more before their walk down the aisle.  They are simply perfect for each other!  Here are just a few photos from their beautiful ceremony.
