Can we tell you how adorable this couple and their wedding is?  We had so much fun with them on their Truck Stop Engagements in North Houston and then again on their beautiful wedding day.  They were married at the infamous Marty Leonard Chapel followed by an intimate reception at Time Ten Cellars in Fort Worth.  Rachel with Rachel Events helped pulled together and coordinate this adorable couples day.  They had cupcakes from Sprinkles and a cake from Sugar Bee Sweets which is the perfect combination and the key to my heart!  Add in flowers from Dr Delphinium, organization by Rachel with hair and makeup by Angie Williams and you have the perfect cocktail.  I wish I could post all their photos but for now I will share a few favs.

I know this is crazy, but I think it would be awesome to rent a food truck for your wedding reception.  You could even have two show up, one for the bride and her taste of food and one for the groom with his style of food.  This would be a fun thing, not a fancy thing.  So if you are having your wedding in a boutique hotel with a string quartet this is not your cup of tea.  But if you are having a country chic barn wedding or an urban warehouse wedding reception this would be perfect.  It would make your reception stand out.  You could also just rent a food truck for your rehearsal dinner or your midnight after party!  Think about it.

If you are crazy enough to be interested I stumbled across a cool website that actually makes it easy to locate, track, and rent your favorite food trucks.  Go check out http://roaminghunger.com/.  I just found out that there is a BBQ truck thats close to me today and I might just have to go check it out.

This last one is my favorite image I have taken of our baby Emma.  I think you tell why.

We always have such a wonderful time at Thistle Hill and this was no exception. We had a bridal shoot team there for Amelia’s bridals. Amelia’s mom and mom’s sisters were there, then of course we has Brian from Thistle Hill as well as Jonathan and myself plus of course our bride. As you can image, there was lots of laughter throughout the day. Amelia looked absolutely stunning in her Justin Alexander dress from Bliss Bridal Salon in Ft Worth. She had on my FAVORITE shoes by Badgley Mischka for the occasion. Here are a few of her stunning photos:

Jeff and Meredith are both talented musicians so it was very fitting for them to be married at the beautiful Bass Hall in Downtown Fort Worth. The couple’s passion for music set the night’s theme starting with an intimate ceremony in the Van Cliburn Recital Hall. The beautiful purple bouquets, boutonnières and reception flowers were done by Di Fiori Floral and Decor. After their vows, we moved to the McDavid Studio where the great music continued courtesy of Ambiance Entertainment. The reception was a great time complete with lots of dancing and delicous food. As always, Reata Restaurant did a fantastic job catering the event, and that gorgeous cake, pictured below, was custom made by Calling All Cakes. This great night ended with the happy couple making their grand exit out to horse drawn carriage for a ride around Sundance Square. We wish you all the best Mr. & Mrs. DeMaagd!

OK, so I am going to try and not spam you with pictures of my baby girl, but I am going to be honest its going to be hard.  I mean come on, she’s perfect!  This is her second photo shoot.  I think the pastel streamers were the perfect touch to soften up this shoot.  Baby photography is something that I am starting to really enjoy.  Maybe there is a new branch of Jonathan Ivy on the horizon!

We had such a great time being a part of Jessie and Bradley’s elegant ceremony and reception at the lovely Fairmont Dallas hotel in the heart of downtown Dallas Arts District. Jessie and Bradley are such a fun and lively couple who seem to be always be making each other laugh. Their fun-loving friends and family matched that energy, making for a fantastic night of celebration, dancing and laughter. The couple’s lovely venue was accented with stunning flower arrangements by Antebellum Design. Jessie carried a gorgeous bouquet of vibrant red roses which paired beautifully with her romantic ivory gown and fabulous red shoes! After exchanging vows, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a night of great food, fun, and dancing….lots and lots of dancing!

This probably is one of my ‘most favoritest’ photo shoots I have ever done.  My newborn baby girls photo session was a lot of fun.  To be totally honest I am in no way a newborn baby photographer.  I’m a pretty good wedding photographer, at least thats what my mom tells me, but I have no idea what to do with a newborn.  Before baby Emma was born the most experience I have ever had with a baby is reading “The Caveman’s Pregnancy Companion” that my photography mentor gave me because he knew I had no idea what I was doing.  So when Emma was born ( 6 days ago, feels like forever, like she has always been here) I was blown away at how instantly she became the most important thing in my life and that nothing was ever going to be the same.  (Emma is hiccuping in the background as I write this and I just thought you should know, its pretty cute) So yeah I said it, I’m a sucker, Emma is going to be a Daddy’s girl forever.  So this photo session is actually the third attempt at it since she came home from the hospital and I think I finally figured it out.  I now present to you Emma Eisley Foster’s 1st successful newborn baby photos!

Huge Thank You to Jamie our designer for getting Emma this awesome hammock!  We obviously had a ton of fun with it!

We love when we have weddings at new venues such as this one here. We had never been to the Resurrection Lutheran Church nor Canyon Creek Country Club before we met Sarah & Patrick so it was a fun change of pace to head out to the Richardson/Plano area for the day. Sarah and her girls had a very relaxing day while the boys just tried to stay out of trouble. Both Sarah & Patrick are very laid back, easy going people so as you can imagine, their wedding day was a very calm and fun filled day. Here are just a few photos from their beautiful June wedding.

I absolutely love the flowers Sarah chose. Z’s Florist did a wonderful job in creating all the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces.

One of the things we love to do is to sneak our couples outside for a bit right as the sun is setting to snag a couple photos that we could not have gotten otherwise. The 2 shots above are great examples of this. The couple already had dinner, visited with their guests and had taken a moment to relax then we were able to step outside when the temperature and lighting is perfect for just a couple minutes to snag these! So worth it!

Dallas Wedding Photographer

Well most of y’all know that we have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little one Emma Eilsey and we are excited to say, she is on her way! Samantha was admitted into the hospital Thursday night and is ready to get this show on the road. We can not wait to see if Emma has Samantha’s red hair and Jonathan’s button nose.  We will keep everyone updated on the progress and we promise the cutests pictures EVER are only hours away!

So, as you can guess, we may be out of touch for just a couple days while we learn how to be parents. We are so excited to take on this crazy, wild ride we keep hearing about from other parents.
