As we look back at 2011 we are realizing just how blessed we are.  We met so many fabulous couples this year, so many of them became friends and a few we have even got to see their family go from 2 to 3 people which just love.  There are so many special moments from each wedding and event that I wish we could kick back and recap each and every one of them.  We owe so many vendors a huge Thank You for performing beautifully under some crazy circumstances and making it possible for us to capture their beautiful work for everyone to enjoy for a lifetime and more.  Some of my personal favorites will be popping up on our blog as 2011 comes to an end. Today I am sharing with you bouquets and flowers.  Oh man was choosing my favorites difficult!  So many textures and colors!  Ahhhh these photos bring a smile to my face.

Adkins Wedding: The beautiful flowers above are some of my favs!  They are designed by A Rose in Bloom owned by the bride’s mom and were set as a team with Travis Lee of Functions Events.

Behm Wedding: As most of you know, I am a huge pink fan so of course I think the above flowers and perfect!  Designed by Functions Events.

Moore Wedding: These bright arrangements we a hit at this wedding!  They were a great pop of color! Designed by Z’s Florist.

Seale Wedding: These elegant pastel flowers just stole my heart!  Designed by DiFiori.

Steele Wedding: Hand Made Brooch Bouquet by the Bride

Raetzsch Wedding: Love when a family memory is tied into the wedding and in this case the bouquet is wrapped in the bride’s mother’s wedding gown. Designed by Edwards Florist.

Tower Wedding: I believe the brides gorgeous white bouquet compliments the girl’s flowers perfectly! Designed by Lefleur Couture.

Usrey Wedding: So I’m sure I’m partial since this was my cousin’s wedding but I though all of the bouquets fit her perfectly! These are bright & beautiful! Designed by San Antonio Floral Design.

Bradley Wedding: The above flowers were created by a good friend and in my opinion one of the Best Florist is the DFW! Her work is always perfect!  Designed by: Kate Foley Designs.

Cherian Wedding: The gorgeous bouquet above was created by the bride’s friend & bridesmaid who is also a florist. Created with love you might say! Designed by AK Floral Designs.

DeMaagd Wedding: LOVE the pop of purple here!  Purple was such a hot color this season.  Designed by Di Fiori.

Porter Wedding: I don’t think this bouquet could have been more perfect!  Stunning arrangement!  Designed by Antebellum Designs.

Dublin Wedding: The use of flowers in this bouquet is fabulous! Love how they stepped outside the box on this one = Gorgeous! Designed by The Senterpiece!

Parmerlee Wedding: The brides bouquet is simply gorgeous!  Love the use of stephanotis in her bouquet, definitely one of my favorite flowers of all time!  Designed by bridesmaid & friend: Ingrid London

Blout Wedding: Love the touches of light pink in the bride’s bouquet and how the table’s centerpiece compliments the bride’s flowers. Designed by Fete Des Fluers.

Roser Wedding: The use of 2 different roses in this bouquet gives it a very rustic red look. Taking the basic red bouquet to a new level!  Designed by Twigs Florals.

 

So here is another one of those photo shoots I am so sad I had to miss, don’t get me wrong, I adore staying home with my sweet Emma Eisley, but I also love getting to hang out and have fun with our couples.  Alyssa and Blake and their adorable little Pierce hung out with Jonathan downtown McKinney (which might I add, this little town has stolen our hearts, so cute!) along with Alyssa’s parents snagging some incredibly adorable engagement photos.  Seriously, I wish I could have posted every single photo from this shoot, this little family is just too cute for words but since Jonathan said I couldn’t, here are a few of my favorites.

We are so excited to share with you all our first Indian bride here and Jonathan Ivy.  And can I say, I don’t think we could have started with a more beautiful bride, both inside and out!  Rebekah met us through Elizabeth with After Yes and we fell in love with her on the phone!  She is such a sweet girl and we had so much fun shooting her bridal photos at the McKinney Cotton Mill one day along with friend, bridesmaid & florist Amy with AK Floral Designs.

So this is one of those photo shoots I was so sad that I was not able to go to.  Jonathan said he had such a great time with these two!  And as you will see in these photos, they are such an adorable couple!  Their photo shoot was compiled of things they both love to do together.

Goodness it has been a while since I have posted but I’m coming back with a bang- the beautiful wedding of Lindsay & Val by the amazing Travis Lee of Functions Event Group.  This day why quite a whirl wind for Jonathan & I.  We headed out from Lewisville down to Benbrook to catch the bride and her girls as they got ready for the day.  From Benbrook we went to Dallas for their wedding ceremony at Christ the King.  They had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends.  From Dallas we then headed to Cowtown Ft Worth to do some fun Stockyard photos with the wedding party.  After running around Stockyard Station we headed back out to Benbrook for their reception which was gorgeous.  After things ended there we headed out from Benbrook to go back to Lewisville.  Never have we driven over 200 miles to never leave 1 area before  But as you are about to see, it was SO worth it.

So a little history, How did these 2 meet?  Val was Lindsay’s auditor.  Oh yeah, you read that right! After a couple runs through on paperwork he asked her out, the rest is history.  I’m guessing she got off easy on that audit!

How did they start their wedding day? They started their wedding day with great news, the job Val had been interviewing for was officially his!  From there things just continued to get better.  Here are just a few of our favorites from this fabulous day starting with their home church where they were married.

Lindsay’s dress was made by her mom’s friend and her jewelry is all vintage costume from a family friend and her shoes are 100% custom made by one of her bridesmaids.  A lot of love, time and effort went into creating the perfect outfit for this special day.

Are these not the most adorable seating cards?  They go along with the guest gift which was a jar of honey.  This whole theme came from Lindsay’s grandfather who was a florist during his day and in each of his bouquets we would place a bee in the arrangement, something the quickly became known for. Fast forward a bit and Lindsay’s mom takes over his business and is the florist who created all the gorgeous flowers at the wedding.  You must check out A Rose in Bloom.  So it was only right that Lindsey’s mom place a bee in her arrangement which also gave the inspiration behind the honey.  So sweet!

Here you can see Val’s son Lucas tearing it up on the dance floor.  This kid has got some moves!

Today I am leaving paradise, after spending a few days here in Belize at Las Terrazas in Ambergris Caye I am sad to leave.  I shot a destination wedding here and it was beautiful.  The ceremony and reception took place on the beach and the beach reception was too beautiful not to show you now.  So here you go, a beautiful beach reception!
