OMG Jessica and Tyler are for sure one of the cutest couples we have met!  These 2 know each other forwards and backwards for a couple reasons:  1) they are dating and now engaged  2) they are each others water ski partners  Yes you read that right!  These 2 are professional water skier and they perform as a team.  It is so cool!  I am really hoping that once summer is here that Jonathan & I can go watch them perform and even perhaps snag some action shots!  So as you will see in their engagement session we had to include a prop that plays a significant part in their life…their boat!

We are so thankful to Jacqueline Chapelle for sending this cute couple our way.  Amber is from America and Tareq is from Jordan and goes by the nickname Tiger.  A nickname Jonathan never could get himself to say LOL!  We had fun with Amber and Tareq running around downtown Houston capturing photos on a beautiful, cool winter day.  Here are just a few of our favorites from their beautiful session.

One of our favorite things to do is Styled Shoots!!!  What is a styled shoot you may ask?  It is where we team with a group of vendors to create an extraordinary event for something simple yet fabulous like an engagement, a proposal, bridals and more!  Here we combined a proposal and engagement shoot with a local Hot Air Balloon Festival and what we got was Gorgeous!  We owe a huge thank you to Lottie with Couture Events for organizing this and to Rita with Rent My Dust for loaning us props.  Both girls also spent their day creating and setting up this amazing photo shoot and we really could not recommend each of them enough!  Lottie is a brilliant wedding and event planner who defines the very essences of the word Creative!  Rita owns pretty much the coolest store we have ever encountered.  She rents ‘her dust’ to those of us who can’t distinguish a treasure from trash until she makes it beautiful for us.  She provided many of the props shown here like the chicken coop acting as our table, the antique radio on the table and more.  She can make your event a one of a kind with little to no effort on your behalf!

Um, is this couple not the cutest ever!  Lauren and Zach are such a perfect match!  We met up with these two at their adorable town home downtown Houston to set off to take their engagement photos.  We ran around Sunset Blvd in Rice Village for a bit enjoying the gorgeous weather before heading to Hermann Park just outside downtown Houston to take advantage of the beautiful skyline.

Isn’t there little town home so cute?  I want one!  They also have the coolest backyard with the lights strung and a backyard double swing.  So so so cute!

So here is another one of those photo shoots I am so sad I had to miss, don’t get me wrong, I adore staying home with my sweet Emma Eisley, but I also love getting to hang out and have fun with our couples.  Alyssa and Blake and their adorable little Pierce hung out with Jonathan downtown McKinney (which might I add, this little town has stolen our hearts, so cute!) along with Alyssa’s parents snagging some incredibly adorable engagement photos.  Seriously, I wish I could have posted every single photo from this shoot, this little family is just too cute for words but since Jonathan said I couldn’t, here are a few of my favorites.

Meet Carol & Dan…they are your average fun loving couple who are madly in love with one another.  Every time we have seen the two of them they have smiles on their faces.  They are just that perfect couple!  We had so much fun with them on their engagements as we ran around the Dallas Arboretum & White Rock Lake areas.  We seriously could have kept going and going.  So much fun!

 While playing on the tracks taking pictures we actually had a train come by.  Love when things fall into place so we can have fun!

We love when our worlds collide.  Mandy, who currently works for the Dallas Cowboys, found us through a mutual friend whose wedding we did not too long ago, Chris & Lindsey Behm, as Jonathan use to work with Chris in the TV Department at the Dallas Cowboys.  So we were very honored when she and Robert asked us to photograph their upcoming 2012 event.  Both Mandy and Robert currently work the daily grind in a business atmosphere so they thought what better than to incorporate this into their engagement shoot and they did a fabulous job in doing so.  Check out just a few of their awesome engagement photos.

Can I tell you how much I ADORE this photo shoot and this couple!  Doug was so interactive throughout the entire photo shoot which doesn’t happen often with grooms.  He was tossing out ideas and loving on his girl the entire time.  When we arrived we found out that Shelley drove a yellow Mini Cooper….LOVE!!!  I mean seriously, she stole my heart with her car.  So, being the Mini Cooper loving people that we are we had them start things with a photo in front of the adorable car.

About a week after we did this photo shoot together we got an e-mail from Shelley, someone hit her driving down the road and totaled her Mini.  Can you believe it?  We are so glad now that we did a few shots in front of her beautiful car.  Once again bringing back to a point I feel like I’m trying to make over and over.  There can’t be a price placed on a photo.  A photographer is one of the most important parts of your event/wedding.  Your photos and videos are the only thing outside your significant other that last to show off your beautiful day or in this case, a fun 2 hours.

While out on this photo shoot I found some old wood in the trash that the house next door had ripped out from their floors and walls.  Mind you these houses are in the historical district of Dallas so all the wood is original to the home.  I was so excited!  We gathered it up and brought it home.  You can see some of it here as the background for Emma’s photo shoot.  I want to use it in the house somewhere, probably on our stares.  Ok, I digress…back to this awesome shoot…

I swear I have never seen Whiterock Lake look so good!

Isn’t this an awesome camera?  Jonathan is super jealous of Shelley’s Rolleiflex.  It even works, as can be seen above.  So cool!  Shelley is a photographer for Fossil (how cool is that?) so she has a fun collection of camera and of course purses, watches, belts, wallets, cuffs and more.  I’m jealous of her really!

We went out for a bit while Doug serenaded  Shelley during a beautiful sunset.  Isn’t life beautiful!

I love when we have the chance to photograph friends as is the case here.  Kelsi and I worked together a couple years ago at a crazy little company in Irving.  We had some good times with a quite interesting crew during that time.  Since we have stayed in touch via Facebook.  When we saw that she and Zach were engaged we were so excited for them but when Kelsi contacted us about photographing her wedding we were so honored!  We went out to Fort Worth and took their engagement photos and had a blast getting to know Zach.  We are looking forward to their beautiful wedding in 2012.

Above is Zach’s dog Duke who has quite lovingly accepted Kelsi into his life as well. Duke is full of spunk and he had us laughing throughout the photo shoot!
