I have to start this post by saying I owe a HUGE thank you to be-dazzled in North Dallas and to my mother in law for helping Jonathan and I create this fabulous room!  We had so much fun bringing all this together!  As soon as the nurse said, “it’s a girl!” I thought my head was going to pop with excitement, thoughts and planning!  Right then and there, things went crazy and Jonathan could see himself going broke  Although I must admit I feel like I did a good job budget wise, I think I did an ever better job creating a Pink Paradise.  Like seriously, this room radiates pink!  It is so happy in Emma’s room!  Here are a few photos Jonathan took for us!

The hanging balloon and the ballet shoes were both brought back from France from our trip there in 2011. We actually left the day after we found out we were having a girl so all I could think about the entire time was looking for things for Emma.  These are 2 of the items Jon’s mom aka: Mimi brought back for us.  It was also while in Paris that we decided we would name our little girl Emma!

Here is the bed as a whole containing all the custom bedding designed by Jonathan & I and created at be-dazzled.  Isn’t it awesome!  We love it!!!  The stuffed animal on the right is Jams!  Jonathan bought him for Emma while we were in France.  Jonathan though he was so cool and knew Emma just had to have him.  She LOVES him by the way!

The animals hanging on the back of the bed are also from France.  They have the best colors over there.  No bright or florescent colors, just elegant neutrals.  They also have unique and cute characters that aren’t Winnie the Pooh (sorry Pooh fans, I’m just not one).  We brought these items back and designed the entire room around them!  Below are the other items that played a significant role in our design.

These are 4 drawings by a French artist about a love story between a boy and a girl that we found in a small outdoor market in Europe.  So we bought them and brought them back and framed them through our framing company (perk of the job).  Aren’t they amazing!

The paper chain and Emma sign above Emma’s bed was made by Jonathan’s parents for her baby shower and we brought it back and placed it in her room.  Hand Made my Mimi and Papa with love!

And then of course we had to get some photos with our girl in her room wearing her signature color!  Onesie: Robin Wren Designs  Headband: Heaven Sent Children’s Boutique

Every month (or so…we try) to take a picture of Emma in this chair with Jams beside her so that we can see her grow!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

As wedding photographers I’m sure its easy to see why we are in love with Love!  Love is the very reason we exist!  So in honor of this beautiful holiday we are sharing with you the thing we love the most…Our little Emma!  As a professional model for JIP the demand of her duty to be fabulously cute all the time seem to never wear on her and for that we are thankful.  Here is yet another adorable session with the Love of our Life!

Emma’s adorable ruffled romper is from Giggle, Glitz and Glam and the lace headband with flower is from Heaven Sent Boutique!

The pearls Emma is wearing around her neck belonged to her Great Great Grandmother Mamaw (Samantha’s Great Grandmother on Dad’s side) and the pearls around her wrist belong to her Mommy and were given to her Mommy by Mimi (Jonathan’s mom)!

And by now most of y’all will have received your Valentine’s card from us! Below is the card for those who didn’t receive one in the mail!  Jonathan did a great job designing it around our model’s favorite color and photo.

So yes, we are still at it, posting photos that should have been posted a LONG time ago!  Better late than never is still the theme here  Here are a few photos from Emma’s First Christmas photo shoot!  As you can see, she had fun on this shoot!  We timed things a bit better and we did not place her in anything freezing cold or wet which I’m sure was a great start.  Anyhow, the first few photos of Emma were of her “styled shoot” which was a theme Jonathan and I did together.  Isn’t she the cutest in her pink Christmas!

Then these next few photos of her in red were my theme.  I just love her My First Christmas outfit with her Santa shoes that Maddie gave her and her striped hat that I bought her.  She had a blast doing this photo shoot as you can see!

Then this last set of photos was Jonathan’s theme.  Her “Decked Out” outfit is Jon’s favorite and he set her up in the greenery.  Now, I must admit we almost ran back into the pumpkin problem here with how pokey the greenery was but she pulled through to get these.

Merry Late Christmas from the Fosters!

So, I know we are so late!  This is ridiculous that we are just now getting around to finishing these but better late than never I say!  So little Emma had quite a day during this shoot.  She did not want to take photos that day nevertheless Jonathan and I continued to bribe and beg her and she cooperated for the most part.  We snagged a few cute ones and a few mad ones.  She did not like being naked and put inside a cold, wet pumpkin…can’t say that I really blame her. BUT she looked too darn cute in there!  I’m sharing a few of both the mad and content photos because I think they both are great!  Very accurate portrayal of her feelings that day!

These first few photos were taken in an alley downtown McKinney.

These last few photos we taken at the McKinney Cotton Mill right before a bridal shoot we did there.  Needless to say, the bridal shoot resulted in much happier photos than these.  But look at those little feetsies below.  They are so tiny and cute!  I just love them!!!

This last one is my favorite image I have taken of our baby Emma.  I think you tell why.

OK, so I am going to try and not spam you with pictures of my baby girl, but I am going to be honest its going to be hard.  I mean come on, she’s perfect!  This is her second photo shoot.  I think the pastel streamers were the perfect touch to soften up this shoot.  Baby photography is something that I am starting to really enjoy.  Maybe there is a new branch of Jonathan Ivy on the horizon!

This probably is one of my ‘most favoritest’ photo shoots I have ever done.  My newborn baby girls photo session was a lot of fun.  To be totally honest I am in no way a newborn baby photographer.  I’m a pretty good wedding photographer, at least thats what my mom tells me, but I have no idea what to do with a newborn.  Before baby Emma was born the most experience I have ever had with a baby is reading “The Caveman’s Pregnancy Companion” that my photography mentor gave me because he knew I had no idea what I was doing.  So when Emma was born ( 6 days ago, feels like forever, like she has always been here) I was blown away at how instantly she became the most important thing in my life and that nothing was ever going to be the same.  (Emma is hiccuping in the background as I write this and I just thought you should know, its pretty cute) So yeah I said it, I’m a sucker, Emma is going to be a Daddy’s girl forever.  So this photo session is actually the third attempt at it since she came home from the hospital and I think I finally figured it out.  I now present to you Emma Eisley Foster’s 1st successful newborn baby photos!

Huge Thank You to Jamie our designer for getting Emma this awesome hammock!  We obviously had a ton of fun with it!

So this is a bittersweet post for me (Samantha).  Our dear friends the Burcaws came into town to visit us at the same time I came down with a horrible cold.  This being said, I was not able to participate and play with everyone throughout the weekend.  Despite this, Jonathan and the Burcaws still made a point to have some fun and avoid getting sick.  We had a blast posing little Lily here in the studio for a few fun shots.  I was so glad I was able to participate in those before they all headed out to the Dallas Arboretum for some Fun in the Sun!  It was a beautiful weekend and Lily looked absolutely adorable sitting amongst the lilies.  Here are just a few of her precious outdoor photos.

Here I go again breaking our “we don’t photograph newborns rule” but I couldn’t think of a better exception to the rule than for this family. We always love when we get to work with one of our couples again and we especially love when we get to meet a new member of their family and this was such a double occassion.  We were able to meet Ms Bridy and her new cousin Mr Colin as well as get to see our bride and groom Peggy & Travis McDavid. Here are just a few photos of the growing family.  We introduce to you Ms Bridy Clair McDavid and her big sister Haleigh as well as Mr Colin McDavid and big brother Reese…Enjoy!
