So often we hear the wonders of being a photographer and we smile. Where our job is wonderful and we are thankful that it is viewed through such a happy light like anything there is a dark side. So to risk changing your mind about your upcoming future as a professional photographer I thought it would be fun to share some of the ‘behind the scenes’ of what really is going on at your wedding. We give you Real World- Professional Photographers

Example 1:
Here is what you see at the wedding. A handsome groom kissing his beautiful bride surrounded by family and friends and covered in bubbles. Its the perfect storytime ending!

Here is what was actually taking place…Meet Katie! She is amazing at what she does and like anything, does whatever it takes to get the shot. Squatting down on a moving escalator Katie works to snag the perfect shot of the newlyweds leaving (and of course she got it) but little did she know that one of the guests decided to be cute. As you can image this particular gentleman was less than sober when he decided to strattle the railing above her. Underestimating his own strength he literally falls on top of her. Now she is not only still trying to snag the photo, she is trying not to get hurt or have any of her gear damaged.

So next time your kicking back and looking at all your gorgeous wedding photos, say a little word of thanks that you have them because you probably have no idea how hard your photographer worked to capture them for you!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!
We were so honored to be invited to the Chateau Cocomar Christmas Party this year and we had such a wonderful time. Emma ran and played so hard the entire time she barely made it home (and we live just around the corner) before she fell asleep. Here are just a couple of quick snaps from our wonderful day at the Chateau!

Emma’s outfit was a composition of talented stores: Headband & Reindeer Onesie with matching leg warmers by Giggles Glitz and Glam.  Red Bloomers from The Cottage in Old Town Spring.

And we finally got to take photos with Santa!  Since the below photo wasn’t our best (Jon and Emma) we tried again with great success!
