Belize Destination Wedding at Las Terrazas Resort

 I have to start this post with saying We Love Destination Weddings!  It is a chance to venture out somewhere new and try crazy fun things amongst gorgeous scenery and landscapes. My favorite part is how everyone always has a great time, everyone gets to hang out and enjoy each other without the distractions of being at home.  It brings weddings back to their roots of celebrating the nuptials of two people madly in love.  Its a beautiful thing.  Now the beautiful beach sunset wedding ceremony and the outdoor beach reception help a little also.   I honestly could have posted 100 pictures with ease for this post there were so many gorgeous ones but here are just a few of our favorites of the favorites!

I love the different shades of blue for the bridesmaids dresses, they are multicolored dresses but they still match!

The Groom and groomsmen’s beach attire was casual with the reef sandals but still very elegant.

I love how everyone was barefoot for the ceremony.  Such a comfortable mood it set.

This is the perfect beach wedding.

The flowers were very tropical, a good fit for Belize!

Love the colors that the bridesmaids wore with the pop of pink in their bouquets!

Destination Wedding Photographer in Houston, Tx

Oh goodness, I do not even know where too start.  You know when you have too many exciting things to say all at once that they just seem to all jumble up in your head…this is where I am.  Gathering…Ok!  Bryan & Amelia are the most adorable couple EVER!  While talking to Bryan, all that you have to do is mention the wedding and his face lights up with a smile as it makes him think of Amelia. While talking to Amelia, just mention Bryan’s name to see her eyes sparkle.  The two were really built for each other.  We had such an amazing time with them on their engagement session.  Then we were able to meet up with Amelia and her mom along with her aunts to have some fun at Thistle Hill for her bridals.  Then lastly their grand celebration.  Here are just a few of the many beautiful photos of this wonderful couple!

These boxes where carried by the ring bearers down the aisle.  Cute huh?!

 The Amelia Earhart luggage shown was quite a hunt for this couple. Amelia spent quite a bit of time bidding her heart out on ebay to snag this fabulous set and man was it worth it. Beautiful luggage!  The handkerchief invitation shown here were wrapped like seen on the left when received by the guest and then they opened to reveal the wedding information as seen on the right.  Absolutely wonderful idea.

So so so many beautiful details throughout this wedding.  The bride did a wonderful job implanting the things that she and Tower love and that played a role in who they are today!

I am so excited to finally post this absolutely wonderful country chic wedding out at Howell Family Farms.  There are so many amazing photos and stories from this wedding I really could keep you here all day talking and showing you things but I have tried my best to narrow things down to my absolute favs to share.

Magen & John are that couple!  You know the ones…where you can just walk up to them and be in the presence for no longer than 5 minutes and know that they were built for each other.  As John is telling us a story, Magen is already smiling and nodding knowing where he is going.  Their engagement session was simply too cute for words then we had a blast with Magen at her surprise bridals where we ended the session taking off her makeup and pulling her updo out so that she could go hang out with John that night without him knowing.  They simply live for each other and it is so refreshing to see! Well their wedding was no exception as you will see in the following photos.  Sit back, relax and enjoy Mr & Mrs Hearn!

Howell Farms has a beautiful bridal suit upstairs!

 Rusty, the Howell Family Farm’s cat who greets you as you walk up to the house or barn was anxiously trying to go inside to see what all the fuss was about.

These two adorable little boys are the bride’s nephews and also the ring bearers for the wedding.  Aren’t they simply perfect!

The ceremony was held in Arlington at the St. Maria Goretti Church.

The cakes were created by Custom Cakes who is a family friend of Magen’s mom.  The robin’s eggs on top of the cake are from Etsy as are the flowers cascading down the cake.

Brilliant concept by the bride for an appetizer!  Grab a bag and fill it with peanuts then take it outside or to the barn and enjoy with your choice of cold beverage!

This is the upstair loft area of the barn.  Aren’t those chandeliers gorgeous!

Keeping an old southern tradition in their family.  I don’t know if I can describe to you how loud this was with all the guys clanging these.  But it sure got everyone on their feet to set the pace for a wonderful evening!

The DJ- Texas Affairs to Remember Mobile DJ who is an old friend of the grooms, threw in a little newlywed game action which gave Magen a chance to show off her adorable boots as well as had everyone in laughter the entire time!

After a couple hours of dancing the younger crew slowly started making their way down to the baseball field that sits beside the barn and a game ensued.  The bride went and changed into her after party gown and hit the field to take on the challenge.

Where to start…this was such an awesome wedding!  Chris is a friend of Jonathan’s from working at the Dallas Cowboys.  Chris met his dream girl Lindsey and the rest is history.  We were to excited to be able to capture this special time in their lives.

 When Chris told us he was thinking about getting married at Cowboys Stadium we were excited and nervous all in one.  Such an awesome and unique wedding venue but one that we knew we could stay in all day taking pictures.  We immediately began to reign ourselves in knowing that we were going to have to set rules for ourselves.  So here are just a few of the awesome photos from the amazing Dallas Cowboys Stadium ceremony and reception.

Cowboys Stadium has so many beautiful areas for a ceremony!  This one is one of the impressive exclusive clubs at the stadium.

Check out the groomsman on the far right with the major ups… yeah thats Terrence Newman, #41 for the Dallas Cowboys.

The flowers and decor was done by the fabulous Functions Event Group!

Cakes were made by Legends Catering owned by the Dallas Cowboys.

We had the pleasure of working with the awesome iEntertainment group featuring J. Damany Daniel and Jason Barnes!  This dynamic duo kept the dance floor packed all night long.  Everyone was having a blast!

Oh my goodness, I am so very excited to share with you all this fabulous whimsical wedding.  This beautiful event took place at the Lone Oak Winery in Burelson, TX.  The bride, an assistant to a wedding coordinator and wedding decor guru pulled together just about every single detail you see here.  She had so many beautiful and fun details that she had her planner Rachel with Rachel’s Events put into play.  Between the two of them I could easily post 100+ pictures of details I just loved, I have however, tried to restrain myself and have shared less than 40 photos! Isn’t this car amazing!  The brother of the groom saw this car while running errands one day, found the owners and asked them if they would let his brother drive away in their car as their wedding getaway car and they said Yes!  Isn’t that wonderful!  The car is stunning!

We would like to introduce to you Mr & Mrs Matthew Collins!

We are so excited to be able to share this gorgeous wedding with you.  First, some background…for those of you who have not met this bride, this is Jonathan’s sister Susie and her now husband Matthew. We all had so much fun pulling this wedding together for them but no one had more fun than Susie and Jonathan’s mom.  A designer at heart, she personally implemented each and every detail seen at this stunning wedding.  She is also the owner of Jacqueline Chapelle French Inspired Events and many of the decor elements shown are from her with our favorite being her stunning tents.  I can honestly say this was equally the most fun and most work we have ever done at a wedding and at the end of night it was so rewarding to look around and see everyone having a blast and enjoying cup of freshly brewed coffee from Java Pura while waiting to take photos in the Jonathan Ivy Photo Booth.  There were so many photos I wanted to post but I had to seriously hold myself in check and limit myself down to these few. I hope you enjoy this beautiful country, chic wedding.

This is just one of the many reasons we absolutely love First Looks!  These are priceless photos you would never get without taking a moment alone together.  Matthew’s face is superb, you feel like you were there when you see the photos below.

Susie was also able to place those final touches on her groom.  With the help of her iPhone she perfected Matthew’s bow tie!

Instead of having sleeves on her wedding dress I love how she opted for the classic look of a bolero jacket!  So elegant.

Here is the beautiful ceremony site with one of Jacqueline Chapelle’s tents.  This wedding took place on a private estate in North Houston.  The wedding party walked down the aisle with a bagpiper and the sound of the beautiful music floating throughout the countryside set the pace for a beautiful ceremony.

To kick off the reception we introduced the wedding party then started the evening with a dance by Carlos who is Flamenco Dancer.  Very cool performance!

Both of these beautiful cakes were created by Susie’s Cakes which has officially been nominated as Jonathan and I’s favorite cake ever and we eat alot of cake. The wedding cake flavor is unstoppable!

Another one of Jonathan & I’s favorites was at this wedding and it was the Texas Unlimited Band.  This band is awesome!  They play the best music and they can play anything.  Its always a party when Texas Unlimited is around.

We were so spoiled in Houston this weekend!  The lighting was nice, it was cool outside, we had a beautiful bride and a fun wedding taking place. We started photos at the fabulous Hotel Zaza then ran downtown to shoot their wedding at a beautiful cathedral then we headed over to the incredible Natural Museum of Science for their reception.  Our couple, who by the way was beyond welcoming and hospitable from the time we met them at their engagement photo shoot, met up with us and did all their photos before the ceremony so we were able to take photos of the two of them during daylight and at night which was alot of fun. We give you just a few of this fabulous couple’s photos.

This was our first wedding with a live mariachi band and it was great!  They were very good and everyone was up and dancing and having a blast.

A beautiful wedding for a beautiful holiday!  We are so pleased to be able to share with you this rustic wedding from North Houston.  I am so thankful that Katherine asked us to be their photographers for this beautiful day in their lives.  We kicked things off at Katherine’s mom’s house which is nestled away in the woods where the girls got ready while we had some fun with photos.  These are just a few of the fun shots we were able to gather while we were there.  We then headed out to South Main Baptist Church for their ceremony then off to HESS Club of Houston for their reception.  Please kick back and relax while enjoying this beautiful wedding.

From the bride: I am doing all of my something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue on my bouquet. The rosary is my something new, the hankerchief is my something old from my paternal grandmother (Joyce Smolik, call her Joyce), the blue brooch is my something blue from my maternal grandmother (Hilda Galjour, call her Nanny) and my something borrowed is a crystal pin from my mother.

This beautiful venue is the Aransas Pass Civic Center and they are always very accomodating.
